Re-opening for Private prayer

Re-opening St Mary’s for Private Prayer

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has decided that it is safe to to open the church building for private prayer.

The church will be open for individual private prayer from Sunday 14 March 2021 (Mothering Sunday) from 1pm until 3pm and each Sunday thereafter, providing we can organise stewards for each week.

We would ask that you observe the directions in church and maintain a minimum distance of 2 metres from each other (unless you are in a bubble with the other person). Please also always wear a face covering (unless medically exempt).  There will be hand sanitiser stations within the church building.

We have introduced a one-way system, using the north door as an exit, unless the stewards on duty consider that the grass is too slippery for a safe walk back to the pathway.

Please do not attend the church building if you, or anyone you live with, has symptoms of Covid 19, or have tested positive within the previous 10 days.

In order to avoid any spread of the virus please do not congregate within the church building.

We will be following government guidelines and if there are any changes to this, we reserve the right to reverse this decision without notice.

If possible, we would ask that you scan the NHS Track and Trace QR code, just inside the church door, otherwise you will be asked for your contact details, which will be held securely for three weeks before being securely destroyed.

If you have any questions, please contact Ian Hudson, Churchwarden on 0775 999 1030. Please leave a message if your call is not answered, as Ian is also working so may not be able to take the call immediately.
